Building a Stronger Alaska

Our new Training Center is designed to meet the needs of our contractors and our members.

Because we provide the best available manpower to our signatory contractors it only makes sense that we have the best available training facilities. The new center provides us with a centrally located facility that ensures the LiUNA Code of Performance will be met while our trained Construction Craft Laborers find themselves with much-improved careers that give them increased work opportunities through enhanced skill levels and increased numbers of certifications.

Training Schedule

The Alaska Laborers negotiated one of the first training programs in the Laborers International in the early 1970’s.

2017 - 2018 Schedule

The United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training later approved a two year, 4000-hour apprenticeship program in the early 1990’s.
